Even prior to the pandemic, I’ve already been dabbling on alternatives to my 9-6 specifically online business. When the pandemic hit and life and work seem to become more demanding and uncertain at the same time, I figured that it was time. Dipping your toe, so to speak, in the online business is one of the cheapest ways to start a business. And now, more than ever, is the best time to seriously look into this great opportunity that many of us have access to at this point in time.
The current pandemic forced millions in the workforce to settle for working remotely or from home for the most part of the past year and a half. While the dreaded commute to the office has been mostly avoided and is one of the major benefits of this setup, work-from-home (WFH) has its challenges also specially if there are other family members that are also studying or working at home.
Aside from doing your work obligations, there’s constant pressure to prove that you’re indeed working at home. Though it is not to say that there are matters now that you’ll need to look into to make sure that your household will not fall apart, remote work is still far more productive as several studies have shown. It’s just sad to note that many organizations are unable or unwilling to adapt to the new normal.
With that in mind, we need to get past the fear of not being able to make a living if we’re not employed by someone else or if we’re not physically in an office setup. I’ve created this blog to prove that to myself. That is, to figure out online business and, at the same time, to help those of you that would like to explore it as well.
As we delve into the online world, I’ll share with you ways on how we can transform our lives from an employee to an entrepreneur. Let’s start with blogging as it’s a fairly simple way of creating your personal space on the internet. It will help us to focus on one avenue without spreading ourselves too thin which can happen when we get into too many platforms at the same time.
